In order to help assist you in getting the information you need we have provide answers to some of your most frequently asked questions. If you have a question that is not answered here, you can always feel free to contact us directly.

Do we need to be referred to you?
Yes. You will need to be referred to us by another physician. This referral could come from your primary care provider, a surgeon or any other diagnosing doctor.

In your view, is chemotherapy always the answer?
No. Most of the patients referred to us by their doctors are “probably” chemotherapy candidates. However, through evaluation, we will always confirm prior to treatment that chemotherapy is the best choice for your situation.

My friends tell me that I need to go to Sacramento or the Bay Area to get the best treatment. Is this true?
Actually, this is a real misconception. We provide the highest level of treatment and have state-of-the-art equipment here in Northern Nevada. It’s very important (and much more convenient) to have a provider of the treatments close to your home for supervision and follow-up.

I understand that you are able to work with Spanish-speaking patients. Is this important?
Clear communication between doctor and patient is extremely important, and because of Dr. Perez’s bilingual abilities, he is able to speak fluently with both English and Spanish speaking patients and families.
